Conjugation Basics
The past perfect tense (pluscuamperfecto) is formed using the imperfect tense of the verb haber (to have) and the past participle of the main verb.
1. How to Form the Past Perfect (Pluscuamperfecto)
- Formula:

- Past participles of -ar, -er, and -ir verbs are formed by replacing the infinitive endings with -ado for -ar verbs and -ido for -er and -ir verbs. Examples:

- -er: comer → comido
- -ir: vivir → vivido
