[The characters are introduced: Sam, Ana, Pablo, and Lola]

Narrator: This is the story of two girls who share a flat in Spain. They have a neighbor, who is a Spanish guy, and they both fancy him. His name is Pablo.

[The scene opens with Ana and Lola sitting on a couch in their flat. Lola is reading a magazine, while Ana is watching TV]

Ana: Lola, ¿estás escuchando?

Lola: Sí, sí. (not really paying attention)

Ana: Pablo va a venir a cenar con nosotros.

Lola: ¿Qué? ¡Qué buena idea!

Ana: Sí, va a cocinar algo típico español.

Lola: Umm, qué rico.

[Pablo enters the room]

Pablo: Hola, vecinas. (kisses the girls on the cheek)

Lola: Hola, Pablo. ¿Cómo estás?

Ana: Hola, Pablo.

Pablo: ¿Qué hacéis?

Lola: Nada, estamos aburridas.

Ana: Sí, estamos aburridas.

Pablo: ¿Queréis hacer algo esta noche?

Lola: Sí, Ana ha organizado una cena en el piso.

Ana: Sí, y vamos a cocinar algo típico español.

Pablo: ¡Qué buena idea! Me encanta cocinar.

Lola: Genial, ¿qué vas a cocinar?

Pablo: Vamos a hacer una tortilla de patatas, una ensalada y una paella.

Ana: ¡Qué rico!

Lola: Sí, qué buena pinta tiene todo.

Pablo: Sí, ya lo veréis.

Narrator: And so, Pablo went to work in the kitchen, while Ana and Lola got ready for their special dinner with their Spanish neighbor.
